Too many attacks go unreported. And too many times, after thinking about the consequences, by the time you're ready to report a rape, the evidence is gone. Rape investigation and testing is very time sensitive.

This is a common trait from victims who know their attacker. Many victims trust and love their partners, only to be betrayed by them. Rape does not equate to love. There is no fine line, or excuse for rape. Rape is a crime. If left unreported, chances are very high that the attacker will repeat this act. Maybe not on you, but possibly a loved one of yours. Please don't forget your feelings. You will have to deal with this for the rest of your life. We strongly suggest you seek counseling for yourself. This will not go away on it's own. Any and all future partners you have will be affected by what has happened to you. The bottom line is, report the attack as soon as possible! You might find yourself feeling guilty. You're not. Do the right thing and stop this from happening again! You'll be glad in the long run!
